Pirate armadas tear through the coasts, raiding the merchants turning fathers to ghosts. Unaware riches ripped from innocent hands begins the start of a curse. The ocean is waiting and they won't be its first.

A beast from the deep seeks retribution on behalf of the slaughtered. When greed tips the scales, Moby Drip is called forward. Hunting fleets down, collecting their plunder. Drowning them in the water by hitting them from right under. Every boat capsized salts the ocean with treasures, every kill of a captain it does for good measure.

Pirates stop raiding for wealth alone — they raid to draw Moby Drip out. Every haul is a lure, every trinket is bait. When each voyage is a bet and the outcome is death. They must now kill it to keep what they've rightfully plundered. The real prize isn't the merchants. It's the legend himself... and throughout the centuries he's claimed lots of wealth.

Most chase the legend, barely any survive it. The hunt turns to obsession. Crews vanish in the storm, hulls splinter, fleets sink without a trace. Moby's not just a monster but a form of god's judgement, collecting each debt owed to the innocent.

Now for a century, it's claimed no new takers. Apparently it's kept everybody in line. But what the hell's this? A new generation, wise to the whispers. Raised entirely off of bourbon and wines.
